Enjoy unforgettable live music in the stunning surroundings of Flowerfield Park, Portstewart this summer as ‘Saturday Lunchtimes Live in the Park’ returns with an exciting, genre-spanning line-up.

From uplifting classical and opera to foot-stomping bluegrass, sea shanties and folk traditions, this free outdoor concert series brings a vibrant mix of performances to the heart of the North Coast.

The perfect way to spend a summer Saturday, it invites audiences to relax, unwind, and soak up the atmosphere with family and friends.

Saturday 18 July: Acro String Quartet
Arco String Quartet are one of Northern Ireland’s most dynamic ensembles, known for their genre-blending style, acclaimed collaborations with artists including Snow Patrol, Liam Gallagher and Foy Vance, and their inventive string arrangements spanning classical, pop and film. They will play an ‘All American’ set, as part of the Borough’s from best loved favourites of Hollywood movie scores to Taylor Swift!

Saturday 25 July: Northern Ireland Opera
Northern Ireland Opera are the country’s national opera company, bringing world-class opera and musical theatre to communities across Northern Ireland, from first-time audiences to lifelong enthusiasts. Enjoy a free lunchtime performance of arias and musical theatre favourites.

Saturday 1 August: Reuben Agnew Bluegrass Trio
Reuben Agnew Bluegrass Trio bring a fresh, high-energy take on traditional bluegrass, combining tight musicianship with influences shaped by extensive touring across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA. Expect a vibrant, foot-stomping performance packed with authentic bluegrass spirit and driving rhythms.

Saturday 8 August: Megan Paul & Andrew Robinson

Megan Paul is a classically trained North Coast vocalist with extensive experience across musical theatre and performance, appearing at venues including the Grand Opera House, The Waterfront Hall and Riverside Theatre. She is joined by pianist and musical director Andrew Robinson, whose credits include Come From Away, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys & Dolls and Kinky Boots, alongside a wide range of work across Northern Ireland’s theatre scene. Together they will bring a rich, uplifting programme of live music and musical theatre favourites to Flowerfield Park.

Saturday 15 August: Causeway Shantymen
The Causeway Shantymen are for their high-energy, foot-stomping seashanty performances that quickly get audiences clapping, singing and joining in.

With appearances at major festivals including Stendhal, Foyle Maritime Festival, Rathlin Sounds and more, they bring rousing maritime tradition, powerful vocals and a strong sense of community spirit to every performance.

Saturday 22 August: Causeway Mummers

Causeway Mummers bring the ancient tradition of mumming to life on the North Coast, blending masked theatre, music and storytelling inspired by local myths, history and folklore of the Causeway Coast. Having wowed visitors at Flowerfield’s Awakening event earlier this year — where they drew crowds together in shared story and song and even inspired spontaneous dancing — they return with another lively, immersive celebration of heritage and tradition.

Each Saturday Lunchtime Live in the Park offers an afternoon of music, culture, and relaxation. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket or camping chair, and soak up the sounds of summer in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Whether you're a local resident or visiting the North Coast, these free lunchtime concerts are the perfect family-friendly way to enjoy live music.

  • Performances will be outdoors in Flowerfield Park, Portstewart, so please dress appropriately
