The winners of the 2025 Northern Ireland Food to Go Awards have been confirmed at recent ceremony at the Crowne Plaza, Belfast.

Hosted by broadcaster Ibe Sesay, the event brought together operators from across the region to recognise standout work in one of Northern Ireland’s fastest-growing food sectors.

Organised by the NI Food to Go Association and supported by Henderson Foodservice, the awards highlighted cafes, takeaways, food stalls and mobile traders serving communities all across Northern Ireland. Interest in the event continues to build, with organisers noting increased engagement since its launch last year – a sign of the sector’s growing role in everyday life.

Junior Minister Joanne Bunting attended the ceremony as a special guest on the night, while video messages were shared by both First Minister Michelle O’Neill and Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald. Several Mayors and Chairs were also present, reflecting broad support for businesses representing their local council boroughs and districts.

Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan, who attended the awards ceremony commented: “Congratulations to all the winners and category finalists in this year’s NI Food To Go Awards.

“We are very proud to have so many fantastic food establishments in our Council area, and these awards are an opportunity to recognise the hard work business owners put in to delivering the best service for their customers.”

Michael Henderson, Chief Executive of the NI Food to Go Association, said: “Enormous credit goes to all our winners and finalists. Their hard work, creativity and commitment to their customers came through in every category, and we are grateful for the role they play in keeping this industry moving. It was inspiring to see such a range of businesses all pushing standards higher. Northern Ireland should be proud of the people behind these operations, and I want to congratulate each of them for the contribution they make to our communities and our food culture.”
