Enterprise fund 2026 launch with Mayor

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Enterprise Fund opened for applications this week.

The Enterprise Fund was established in 2017 and aims to support young businesses (less than two years old) achieve further growth through new and innovative approaches.

This Fund is about developing young businesses that need assistance in taking the next step forward in their growth plans.

Examples of eligible items under this Fund may include new equipment, developing I.T. infrastructure, implementing a significant marketing campaign or product and design development.

Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan, said:

I am pleased to confirm that Council’s Enterprise Fund has reopened and is now welcoming new applications.

"The Fund provides essential financial support to early-stage businesses, helping them to progress on their entrepreneurial journey by fostering innovation, supporting growth and enabling them to reach new markets beyond their local area.

"Through the establishment of the Enterprise Fund, Council has demonstrated its recognition of the vital role played by innovative entrepreneurs and remains committed to supporting new businesses.

"Since its launch in 2017, the Enterprise Fund has delivered significant financial support to young businesses across the borough and we look forward to building on this success as we invite a new wave of applications.”

The Enterprise Fund will open on Monday 11 May 2026 and will close on Friday 5th June 2026 at 12 noon.
