The introduction and implementation of an Annual Leave Policy which details entitlements to annual leave and public holidays at Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council (CCGBC), and requirements for annual leave arrangements, to ensure that all employees are aware of their rights and responsibilities regarding annual leave.

This policy aims to provide a framework for consistent and fair application of annual leave entitlements and arrangements, including booking, cancelling, and carrying over annual leave, applicable to all directly employed employees within the Council regardless of whether they are fixed-term, permanent, full or part-time.

As an internal employee policy, the Annual Leave Policy is not likely to impact on employees in rural areas as the policy will be consistently applied across all employees. Individuals will have the ability to manage their own annual leave arrangements and as such the direct outcomes of the policy delivered for employees based in rural areas will be consistent with the outcomes delivered for employees based in urban areas.
