The Mayor has attended the official opening of a new Bellarena eatery aptly called the Binevenagh View Café.

The new venture will run alongside the existing The Auld School Crafts, based in the same building along the Seacoast Road, which was previously the old primary school for the village.

Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Steven Callaghan said: “I was delighted to attend the official opening of this fantastic new café.

“It’s wonderful to see an old primary school building being brought back to life in this way, with the new café complimenting the existing craft business already in operation. I wish all involved the best of luck. “

The owners of Binevenagh View Café, Pete and Angie Dunne were pleased with the turnout and happy to be supported by the owners of The Auld School Crafts.

Peter Dunne thanked the Mayor for attending, saying: “We are delighted and humbled to be welcomed into these beautiful old premises and we’re excited for the future.

“Thank you to everyone who turned out for our official opening, we appreciate your support.”
