Alacoque Davey art exhibition at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre
Thu, April 05, 2018
A new art exhibition by Alacoque Davey opens in Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre this month.
‘Framework’ is a fascinating display of the artist’s latest works on paper and small assemblages. Alacoque works across several disciplines including ceramic, print, drawing and paint. Using the concept of ‘framework’ as a device to explore the relationship between space and the elements placed within, the artist plays with geometric forms and lines.
The central theme of her work focuses on the ambiguity of empty space.
Having studied in Liverpool, Alacoque has worked as an artist in Belfast’s Queen Street Studios since 2003 and her work is regularly included in the Royal Ulster Academy Exhibition.
The exhibition in Limavady opens on Thursday 19th April and will remain open until Saturday 26th May.
