Business and street surveys taking place across the Borough

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is conducting a survey aimed at businesses and members of the public in towns across the area.

The work will be carried out by Sproule Consulting, and the results will be used to help Council understand how our towns are perceived, and areas which could be improved.

The surveys have already been completed in Coleraine, and will continue in Limavady, Ballycastle, Ballymoney, Portrush and Portstewart until the beginning of March.

Business premises chosen to take part have been randomly selected, while members of the public will be approached in person in all six town centre locations.

The survey will be used to help formulate the Local Development Plan - this will guide development in the borough up to 2030.

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council would encourage all businesses and individuals who receive a questionnaire to take part, as the information will aid future town centre management programmes.

Questions asked will include the length of time spent in the town and the approximate amount of money spent. The quality of the overall shopping experience including car parking facilities will also be recorded.
