Community Rescue Service 'Battle of the Choirs'

The Community Rescue Service, promise a charity night of fun, music and dancing in the Diamond of the Coleraine Campus of the University on Friday 27th May at 7.30pm. 'Battle of the Choirs' includes participating choirs drawn from local business and community groups. Also joining in on the night are Junior Innova Dance Group, Harmony & Co Ladies Choir, The Banshees and Adam Goudy for what promises to be an enjoyable night of music, dancing and laughter. 

Community Rescue Service was established in 2007 to provide crisis intervention, suicide intervention, rural and urban search, water rescue, community support and education.  It is manned entirely by volunteers who are highly trained in a number of disciplines ranging from crisis intervention and rural/urban search and rescue/recovery to river/flood incidents and swift water rescue. The funds raised for the 'Battle of the Choirs' will go towards a new fast response boat for the Community Rescue Service on the River Bann, in memory of Francis McKeague.
