Council’s Destination Team Highlights Wide Ranging Free Support to Tourism Businesses
Thu, May 02, 2024
Council’s Destination Team has highlighted the fantastic free support available to businesses in the Borough who operate in the tourism and hospitality sector.
After a successful Council-led event in April at which Council staff, Tourism Northern Ireland and Tourism Ireland representatives highlighted the key opportunities available, the Destination Team is keen to let local business operators know that free help is available.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Steven Callaghan said: “Council is keen to grow the appeal of Causeway Coast and Glens and we can’t do it without all the providers who make the Borough such a special place to visit. I’d encourage business owners to speak to the Destination and Visitor Information Teams who will be happy to provide more information on the free support Council offers.”
Destination Manager Kerrie McGonigle echoed the Mayor’s comments saying: “After our recent event in Cloonavin and with the busy summer season looming, I think it’s crucial that businesses out there know Council’s Tourism Team is here to help promote what they do.
“Our Destination Team offers you free opportunities to showcase specific offers on our social media platforms and Visit Causeway Coast and Glens website, while also promoting your offer to the likes of partners such as TNI and TI but also tour operators and agents. By availing of these opportunities, it means your business can reach up to 2 million users, all for free!
“We are to help and are keen to work in partnership with tourism businesses in the Borough to continue to boost the appeal of Causeway Coast and Glens.”
The Visitor Information Centres throughout the Borough are also a fantastic way to showcase your business or experience, call in and have a chat with our Tourism Advisors.
