The Deputy Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens was delighted to host a historic reception for visitors from Vanves in Ballymoney Town Hall.
Vanves, located just outside Paris, is twinned with Ballymoney. The 24 students were able to visit local schools around Ballymoney and see many of our cultural heritage sites and landmarks in the Borough.
Last Friday, they were able to meet with the Mayor for a reception in Riada House, which coincided with a tour of the museum, gardens and town centre.
The Deputy Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Margaret-Anne McKillop was very pleased to meet the French students, adding: “I was very happy to have met all these wonderful students.
“We have always been very proud of our heritage and links with Vanves and we were delighted to show them around our Borough.
“I hope they felt welcome, and I am sure they enjoyed their time here.
“We wish them a safe journey home and I would like to see them come and visit us again in the future.”
