Community and voluntary organisations, along with local sports clubs, are invited to apply for funding through the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Grant Programme, which is now open across Causeway Coast and Glens.

The programme will support projects that help prevent violence against women and girls by challenging harmful attitudes and behaviours, raising awareness, and promoting a culture of respect and safety across the Borough. Grants of between £1,000 and £25,000 are available.

The Mayor welcomed the launch of the programme, highlighting the positive impact of projects supported through last year's funding.

Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Dawn Huggins, said:

"The projects supported through last year's programme made a real difference to communities across the Borough. By continuing to invest in local organisations, we can build on that success and work together to create safer communities for everyone."

Head of Community and Culture, Julie Welsh, is encouraging local organisations and sports clubs to attend one of the upcoming information sessions to find out more about the funding opportunity.

Julie Welsh said:

"Everyone has a role to play in ending violence against women and girls. We encourage organisations from across the Borough to come along, learn more about the programme and explore how they can help make a positive difference in their communities."
