Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has unveiled its Easter Recreation programme with a range of exciting activities taking place in venues right across the Borough.
Developed by Council’s Sport & Wellbeing Development Unit, the programme runs from Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th April. Participants can look forward to a series of action-packed camps over the Easter school holidays, including Football, Hockey, Golf and the “Game of Three Halves,” which combines Football, Gaelic Football, and Rugby. Multi-sport indoor sessions will feature badminton, basketball, table tennis, and pickleball, while outdoor sports camps will include football, hockey, and cricket.
New to the programme in 2026 is a Craft and Play camp in Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart, giving young people the chance to explore creative crafts alongside fun play activities.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan said: “We’re thrilled to bring our Easter Sports Camps to communities across Causeway Coast and Glens. From Ballycastle and Cushendall to Ballymoney, Coleraine, Limavady, Portstewart, and Dungiven, there’s something for every young person to enjoy. I encourage all our young people to get involved, have fun, and experience the many benefits of staying active this Easter."
Sports Development Manager, John Fall added: “I’m really excited about the variety of the programme on offer this Easter. This year’s programme demonstrates an innovative approach to sport, play and craft and provides opportunity throughout the Borough. Our Recreation Camps are developed with young people in mind and offer exceptional coaching and supervision with lots of emphasis on having fun.”
