The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan, has congratulated Ballymoney High School’s rugby squad following a series of impressive achievements this season.

The school’s 1st XV squad recently secured victory in the Pollock Cup and finished as runners-up in the Schools Final, capping off an impressive season.

The squad and their coaches joined, Mayor, Councillor McMullan for a Reception at Cloonavin recently.

Speaking on their success, Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan said: “To reach any final is a significant achievement, but for this team to reach two in the same year is truly exceptional. Their dedication, teamwork and determination are a credit to their school and the wider community.”

He added: “I wish the players every success in the future as they continue to develop both on and off the field.”

During their visit to the council, the squad and their coaches met with the Mayor and were given a tour of the council offices and chamber.
