Nominations are now open for the 2026 Moore NI Causeway Coast and Glens Sports Awards, celebrating the achievements and contribution of the Borough’s sporting community over the past year.
The awards will culminate in a Gala awards evening at The Lodge Hotel on Friday 13 November 2026, bringing together athletes, teams, coaches, volunteers and administrators from across Causeway Coast and Glens.
The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Dawn Huggins, who launched this year’s nominations, said:
“Sport plays such an important role in our communities, and across Causeway Coast and Glens we have so many people who give their time, energy and commitment to help others get involved and achieve their best.
“The Moore NI Causeway Coast and Glens Sports Awards are a chance to celebrate that contribution and recognise the achievements of the people who make our sporting community so strong. I would encourage everyone to think about the athletes, coaches, volunteers and clubs who have inspired them this year and put forward a nomination.
“There are so many deserving sporting stories across our Borough, and I look forward to seeing those stories recognised and celebrating our sporting community at the awards in November.”
Applications are open now and there are 13 categories to choose from, including an award for Services to Sport, Disability Sport and Coach of the Year, along with Junior and Senior Sports Man and Sports Woman.
Nominees must reside or compete for a team within the Causeway Coast and Glens area. Nominations can be made across multiple categories, provided they meet the relevant criteria.
This year’s awards will recognise sporting achievements from the 1st September 2025 – 31st August 2026.

All nomination forms must be submitted no later than 4pm on Friday 25th September 2026.
