Experience an unforgettable evening of music as acclaimed American singer-songwriter Kimmie Rhodes graces the stage at Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre on Friday 2nd May.

Hailed by The Austin Chronicle as a "prolific figure in Texas Music," Kimmie Rhodes has made significant contributions to the arts.

With 16 solo albums to her name, she has also written and produced three musical plays, published a novella/cookbook, and authored a memoir. Her multifaceted talents have captivated audiences worldwide, whether on grand stages or in more personal settings.

A native of Lubbock, Texas, Kimmie's musical journey began at the tender age of six, performing with her family gospel trio. Her upbringing in the musically rich environment of Lubbock, the hometown of Buddy Holly, instilled in her a deep appreciation for storytelling through song.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to art, music, and entertainment, she was inducted into the West Texas Walk of Fame on 28 September 2023.

Kimmie's songwriting prowess is evident in the impressive roster of artists who have recorded her compositions. Legends such as Willie Nelson, Wynonna Judd, Trisha Yearwood, Amy Grant, CeCe Winans, Joe Ely, Waylon Jennings, Peter Frampton, Mark Knopfler, and Emmylou Harris have all brought her songs to life, showcasing the universal appeal and depth of her work.
