Flowerfield Arts Centre is thrilled to invite families, children, and animation fans of all ages to celebrate the joy of Puffin Rock.
The brand-new interactive exhibition, Puffin Rock Habitats, launches this July inspired by the much-loved animated series. It was created by multi-OSCAR® nominated animation studio Cartoon Saloon and Dog Ears, with funding from Creative Ireland’s Creative Climate Action Fund.
Opening on Saturday 5th July and running until 6th September, the Puffin Rock Habitats Exhibition invites audiences of all ages to explore the enchanting world of Oona, Baba, and their island friends.
This must-see family activity gives you the opportunity to listen to underwater communications, observe the rhythm of changes in tidal areas and learn about the role of pollinators in grasslands, while also exploring the composition of wetlands.
The official launch is on Saturday 5th July from 12noon, when local author and conservationist Ruby Free will be running an already sold-out workshop for children to create their own Puffin Life books (contact Flowerfield Reception to be added to the waiting list). The wonderful Lisa Dawson will be performing in the park as part of Saturday Lunchtimes Live in the Park (12noon -1pm).
Throughout July and August, families can also enjoy a programme of creative workshops inspired by the natural world of Puffin Rock, from pottery with Fiona Shannon to fused glass with Natasha Duddy and more!
Flowerfield Arts Centre is proud to bring this joyful exhibition to the North Coast as part of its commitment to accessible, imaginative programming for families and children. Entry to the exhibition is free, and all are welcome to explore Puffin Rock Habitats during regular opening hours.
Plan your visit this summer and enjoy a full day out – with Flowerfield Park’s playgrounds, gardens, Saturday Lunchtimes Live in the Park concerts. The Puffin Rock Habitats Exhibition along with a summer of creative workshops, ensures there is something for everyone.
