Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre launch online Creative Writing Week
Mon, May 11, 2020
Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre is connecting the local community through creativity with virtual arts activities for all ages.
Although the Centre remains closed due to the ongoing pandemic, staff are working hard to ensure that creative art activities and exhibitions are available online to inspire those staying at home to express themselves through art and stay positive.
In its latest challenge, the Stay at Home Art Club is celebrating words with a whole week dedicated to Creative Writing. Every day, a new writing themed activity will be posted on the Arts Centre website (www.roevalleyarts.com) and across its social media channels to encourage the public to get creative with words. All activities are free with something for everyone, including writing and illustrating short stories, making poems and reading their favourite books.
Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre is asking people to join in with the creative writing challenges and share their work on its social media pages to inspire others to get involved and empower themselves using words.
Creative writing has many benefits that can help maintain good mental health and positivity including:
*Helping you express yourself creatively.
*Building confidence by developing your own artistic voice.
*Helping you relax by letting your imagination take you on a journey.
So why not get involved with the Stay at Home Art Club Creative Writing Week and get imaginative with words.
We hope you enjoy the Creative Writing Week and we want you to share it with friends and family. Please feel free to let us know what you think of our online activities, or what else you would like us to provide online, by email or via our social media channels.
