Traditional music meets jazz at unmissable concerts this June in Council’s Arts Centres

Music lovers will be spoiled for choice this June, as Flowerfield Arts Centre, Portstewart and Roe Valley Arts Centre, Limavady host two exceptional live music events.
The performances will showcase traditional Irish music and contemporary jazz, featuring renowned artists and exciting new works.
Irish trad band Réalta returns to Roe Valley Arts Centre on Friday 28th June, after their sold-out show in April last year. Their performance will premiere "The Leap," a 15-minute love song to Limavady, co-written by Conor Lamb and Deirdre Galway. The new piece will be presented in a Crankie Box, an ancient storytelling format, with visuals crafted by artist Peter Crann.
The evening, supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Rural Engagement Arts Programme, also features a live reading by local poet Anne McMaster and performances from musicians from Jimmy O’Hara and Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
On Saturday 29th June, Flowerfield Arts Centre will host the Phil Robson Organ Trio, featuring Phil Robson on guitar, Ross Stanley on organ, and Gene Calderazzo on drums. They will perform selections from their critically acclaimed album "The Cut Off Point," offering a fresh take on the jazz tradition of the organ/guitar trio. Phil Robson's innovative guitar work, praised by The Telegraph and AllAboutJazz, promises an evening of dynamic and captivating jazz.
