Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council was delighted to welcome representatives from Tourism Ireland GB on a joint familiarisation (FAM) trip delivered in partnership with Visit Causeway Coast and Glens.
The initiative is part of the region’s ongoing collaboration to promote the renowned Causeway Coastal Route.
The visit took place from Tuesday, April 21 to Wednesday, April 22 April, and brought together key members of Tourism Ireland GB’s Marketing, Trade Partnerships and Media teams to experience first-hand the regions diverse tourism offering.

The itinerary involved a mix of the destination’s iconic, immersive and authentic experiences.
Delegates explored the breathtaking Glenariff Waterfalls before visiting Dunfin Farm, where they enjoyed a traditional sheep farming experience unique to the area.
The day concluded with an evening dining experience at the Anzac Bar and Restaurant, showcasing the regions high-quality food and drink offering. The group then enjoyed an overnight stay at the Marine Hotel.
On day two the group continued their journey along the Causeway Coastal Route, visiting world-renowned landmarks including Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and the Giant’s Causeway.
The group also stopped at the Magheracross Viewing Platform to take in dramatic cliffside views, before concluding their fam visit with lunch and a tour of Dunluce Lodge.
This familiarisation trip is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the region’s profile within the Great Britain market, a key market for the destination.
By engaging directly with key teams responsible for marketing, media and trade partnerships, the initiative aims to enhance destination awareness and support the development of compelling travel experiences for future visitors.
The feedback from the team at Tourism Ireland GB has been fantastic, stating how the area exceeds expectations and how great it is to be inspired to help future visitation from the GB audience.
