Motorcycle racing legend Phillip McCallen is the focus of an exciting new exhibition at Ballymoney Museum, celebrating his remarkable career and lasting impact on road racing. Known for his success at events such as the North West 200, McCallen’s legacy is brought to life through a rich display of personal and professional items.

The exhibition features a collection of his motorbikes alongside helmets, racing leathers, jackets, trophies and other memorabilia, offering visitors a unique insight into the life of a champion rider.

From Legend to Legacy: 40 Years of the Giant’s Causeway

Marking 40 years since Giant’s Causeway was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this exhibition invites visitors of all ages to explore the story behind one of Northern Ireland’s most treasured landscapes.

Through a rich timeline of key events, the exhibition traces the journey to World Heritage status and what that recognition means today. Visitors can discover fascinating local stories connected to the Causeway, alongside insights into its global significance. A unique feature highlights how pieces of the Causeway’s iconic basalt have travelled, revealing connections between this remarkable site and places both near and far.

Accompanied by a programme of engaging activities, the exhibition offers families and communities an opportunity to reflect on the Causeway’s enduring legacy and its place in Northern Ireland’s cultural and natural heritage.
